Last updated: June 13, 2026
This page is a plain-language summary of the data the TOKIDOKEI mobile app handles - what it is, how it is used, where it is stored, and how to delete it. For the full legal text, see our Privacy Policy.
Data we handle
| Data type | Source | Purpose | Leaves the device? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smartphone usage time (total device screen time; per-app / per-category breakdown computed on-device) | iOS: Screen Time API (FamilyControls / DeviceActivity) Android: UsageStatsManager |
Usage visualization and crystal calculation (core feature) | No (processed on-device only) |
| In-app data (crystals, streaks, quest progress, Freeze Days, settings) | App usage | Saving and displaying your progress | No (on-device only) |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) and ad-related data | Google AdMob SDK | Ad delivery and measurement (personalized only with consent) | Yes (Google AdMob), only after consent (ATT on iOS, UMP on both OSes) |
| Purchase / subscription status | App Store / Google Play billing | Providing Pro (monthly subscription) | Billing handled by Apple / Google; the app stores only the entitlement state on-device |
We do not collect or hold any personally identifying information (name, address, phone number, email, etc.) on our own servers. There is no account creation or login.
Where data is stored
- As a rule, all data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers.
- The advertising identifier and ad-related data are handled by Google AdMob, in accordance with its policies, only when you consent.
- If you enable iCloud sync (iOS only, planned for a future release), data is shared across your devices solely within your own Apple ID via Apple's CloudKit.
How to delete your data
- Delete in-app data: Use "Settings > Reset all data" in the app to erase all on-device data, including crystals, streaks, quests, and settings.
- Uninstall the app: Removing the app from your device erases all data stored on the device.
- Withdraw ad personalization consent: Change or withdraw it anytime via "Settings > Privacy options (ad consent)" in the app (shown in applicable regions such as the EEA / UK).
- Change tracking permission (iOS): Adjust it under iOS "Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking".
- Revoke usage-access permission: Revoke Screen Time API / usage-access permission anytime in your OS settings. If you do not grant it, or revoke it later, automatic usage tracking stops. So you do not miss this, the app shows an in-app banner and sends one reminder notification per day; re-granting the permission stops the notification automatically.
- Reset the advertising identifier: Reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's OS ad settings.
